More About the Trail
This trail is located in a designated wilderness area. The spur to Lake Michigan provides access to a remote beach, where you can often have the whole beach to yourself. Because of its relatively easy terrain, it is popular with cross country skiers.
The Old Indian Trail is a lovely loop that offers a more tranquil experience compared to many other trails at Sleeping Bear Dunes. This serene path traces part of the route that early Native Americans established along the coastline, connecting various fishing and camping sites along the shores.
