Flower Flowers have several yellow flowers about 1″ across in branched clusters. More than one may be in bloom at a time.
Leaf Leaves are stemmed, alternate, clasping, prickly edged. Lower leaves mostly pinnately divided, upper leaves are smaller and less divided.
Notes Stems are stout, erect, hollow, and contain milky juice.
