Flower | Flowers are on slender stalks and have multiple flowers on a single plant. Flowers are bright yellow 1″ diameter with 8-12 petals (ray flower) surrounding a mass of yellow disk flowers. Bracts below the flower are often purple-tipped. |
Leaf | Leaves are both basal and stem. Basal leaves are heart-shaped with blunt tips and leafstalks are long. Stem leaves are much narrower and deeply cleft into lobes alternating on the stem. |
