Flower A single large, dandelion-like yellow flower about 2″ wide grows on the tip of the stem. Outer petals are notched at the tip and exceeded in length by the long, thin pointed green bracts.
Leaf Leaves are grass-like, simple leaves about 12″ long and about 1/2″ wide. They alternate on the stem.
Notes The flower stalk below the blossom is inflated and hollow.
