Flower Flowers have dark red pointed petals and 3 sharply pointed green sepals.
Leaf There are three pointed leaves 3-4″ long in a whorl around a single stem. Each leaf has a network of veins.
Notes Red Trillium bloom at the same time as the more common white, large-flower Trillium. Flowers smell like carrion and attract flies, which is where its other name comes from: Stinking Benjamin.
