Flower Flowers are large, upright orange flowers 2-3″ wide with 6 petals (actually 3 petals and 3 sepals). All petals and sepals have dark purplish spots on a faint yellow background near the base. There are typically several flowers per plant.
Leaf Leaves are a whorl of narrow lance-shaped leaves.
Notes This is a showy lily of the woodland habitats which grows from a large underground bulb.
