Location: Drive M-22 north of Glen Arbor to Bohemian Road (CR-669). Turn north (left) and drive about a mile to Lake Michigan. Just before you enter the parking area for the beach, turn left on the gravel Lake Michigan Road. Drive about 2 miles to an intersection with Good Harbor Drive, which goes off to the right. Drive straight. Turn left at the next road, which will take you to Shell Lake.
Parking Lot: Small gravel parking lot
Restrooms: There is no restroom. The nearest vault toilet is about 1 mile back along Lake Michigan Road at Shalda Creek. There is also a vault toilet at the end of CR-669 at the Lake Michigan beach.
Water: No drinking water is available. The nearest source of drinking water is at the Lake Michigan beach parking lot at the end of CR-669.
Boat Ramp: There is a gravel boat launch that is used for kayaks, canoes, and small fishing boats.
Beach Access: It is a short walk from the parking lot to Shell Lake. The surface is uneven and can be muddy depending on the weather.
Points of Interest: This is a quiet wilderness lake, great for fishing, kayaking, and canoeing.
