| Leaf | Upper leaves are heart-shaped but without indentation. Lower leaves are larger and can be up to 12″ long. Leafstalks are hollow. Margins are wavy and minutely toothed. |
| Notes | The hooked barbs on the burs clink to clothing and animal fur. |
