| Flower | Flowers form clusters of 2-10, but with only a few open at a time. They are 1-2″ across with 3 blue petals surrounding a golden yellow stamen. |
| Leaf | Leaves are grass-like, long and narrow – some up to 15″ long. They clasp the stem. Each leaf is folded lenthwise forming a V-groove. |
| Notes | Flowers open in the morning and often wilt by noon on hot days. |
